MDEQ and US ACOE Public Notices:
You can check on current and past Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) applications, public notices and public hearings, as well as US Army Corps of Engineers (US ACOE) public notices that are relevant to wetlands and local water bodies throughout the LTBB 1855 historical reservation boundary by clicking on the links below. Anyone can submit comments for public notices during an open comment period, which is listed for each notice. You can select/click on the public notices webpage link, and then select the county that you are interested in, and all current and recent applications will be listed. This is a great way to get informed and to get involved in the decision-making processes that affect our communities.

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB)
The Emerald Ash Borer is a non-native beetle that is devastating Michigan’s ash trees, as well as those in other states. The beetle is of particular concern to the wetlands program due to the impacts it could have on our black ash trees, which grow in swampy wetlands.
