Notes:

In 2007, Petoskey residents Patti and Balky Grannis, commissioned local artist Nikolas Burkhart, to paint a mural in the Children's area of the Petoskey Library. Nikolas was advised in this project by artist and tribal elder, Yvonne Walker-Keshick. The mural is titled: Waganakising: Land of the Crooked Tree, Pre-European Contact. The Library Staff and those who have worked closely with us, believe that this book will enrich the experience of viewers by telling the stories the mural depicts.
